Eberhard Baecker

The news of Mr Backer's death saddens me and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

As a former student (1989-1998) I remember Mr Baecker's integrity, kindness, thoughtfulness, hard work and his quiet determination. He never seemed to rush to conclusions or to jump into frantic action. I remember him as a listener and observer, who first thought things through and who certainly also saw the humorous side of things. His level-headed style of leadership and his leading by example are much needed in today's uncertain and restless times.
